Apple has released the sixth developer beta of iOS 26, introducing multiple upgrades and fresh audio options for iPhone users. Among the additions are six new ringtones, including variations of the existing default tune “Reflection” and an entirely new sound named “Little Bird.”
The new set of tones arrives as Apple prepares the iPhone 17 lineup, which will ship with iOS 26 pre-installed. Over the years, ringtones such as “Xylophone” and “Reflection” have become widely recognized as part of the iPhone identity. Apple now appears to be setting up “Little Bird” as the next distinct option for incoming calls.
Although a majority of users keep their devices in silent mode, the expansion of ringtone choices signals Apple’s continued effort to refresh core iPhone features. The move also coincides with growing expectations that the iPhone 17 Pro will debut a redesigned rear camera module, marking a shift from the layout that has remained largely unchanged since the iPhone 11 Pro.
The upcoming iPhone 17 family will include multiple models across price points:
* iPhone 17e — 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, priced at Rs 69,900.
* iPhone 17 Air — available in 8GB/12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, starting at Rs 99,999.
* iPhone 17 Pro — 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, priced at Rs 1,45,990.
In addition, earlier models such as the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series continue to remain available in India with discounts across online and offline retailers.
With iOS 26 beta 6 already in developer testing, Apple is expected to finalize its software roadmap before the global rollout in September alongside the iPhone 17 unveiling.
